What does the AI actually do?+
It reads every reading from your kit, around the clock, inside Synse's closed system. It alerts you the moment something crosses a line, learns what normal looks like for your operation, and flags changes worth money or time: a compressor drawing more than it used to, a door open longer than it should be, a quieter Saturday than your staffing assumes. Your data stays yours; it is never shared or sold.
Can someone hack it and reach my equipment?+
No, and not because of a policy. Synse only senses, and data only flows out. It never connects to your equipment, your controllers, or your network, so there is no path from Synse to anything that moves.
What's a head?+
A yellow-collared cap that clicks onto a pod's top and changes what it measures: temperature probes, leak rope, radar level, current clamps, contacts and pulses, Modbus, or vision. Swap it in seconds; every wired head is supervised, so a cut or unplugged lead reports itself instead of going silent.
Can it count people or track what customers do?+
It counts; it never identifies. The Vision head works everything out on the device and sends only numbers, over a radio physically too small to carry video even if someone wanted it to.
Do I buy the hardware?+

What does the $99 deposit get me?+
It reserves your kit and locks pilot pricing. Fully refundable any time before the kit ships. After shipping it becomes the equipment deposit, returned when the gear comes back.
How is it powered?+
One sealed USB-C on everything. Pods run 2+ years standalone, forever on any wall adapter, or off-grid on the Solar Charger. The Hub plugs into any outlet; where there's no outlet for miles, Solar XL (a 20 W panel with about a week of no-sun battery) powers the Hub and a Pod on a pole.
Does it work with old equipment?+
Especially old equipment. Clamps go around existing wires, contacts land on floats and relays that are already there, and the Bridge head reads the 4–20 mA and Modbus instruments you already own. Nothing is cut, rewired, or replaced.
Do I need IT help to install it?+
No. The hub carries its own cellular (no Wi-Fi, no passwords, no port openings) and pods arrive pre-paired and labeled for each spot, with a short how-to video for every sensor. If you want a hand, our support team joins a free video call and walks through setup with you.
Will it ever tell me it can't help?+
